General Electric and Alibaba (1688.HK) have formed a strategic partnership. GE will use Alibaba for online procurement and marketing - the first time GE has opted to form an online sales and marketing partnership in China.
From next year, GE will advertise its products to SMEs on the Alibaba platform, and also use Alibaba to find and select new suppliers.
The partnership also involves high-level training and exchanges. GE will also provide an intelligent building solution, products and associated services for Alibaba's Binjiang R&D center.
