Unicom Standardizes CDMA Handset Accessories

Manufacturers supplying Unicom Huasheng with customized CDMA phones in 2008 will be using identical recharging, data and earphone sockets, allowing rechargers, data cables and earphones to be swapped between different phones.
Huasheng currently provides 150 different CDMA handset models, sourced from 12 manufacturers including Samsung, LG, Nokia, Motorola, Huawei, Yulong and Dopod. Huasheng expects to order 15 mln customized handsets in 2008, up 50% on 2007.
