Motorola Acquires Dahua's STB Assets

Tech.qq.com, 2/25/08

Motorola has announced that it has acquired the digital cable TV set-top box (STB) assets of Zhejiang Dahua Digital Technology and Hangzhou Image Silicon Technology. Dahua Digital develops, manufactures and sells a range of low-end to high-end digital set-top boxes and related low-cost integrated circuits. The purchase will expand Motorola's product offerings in the Chinese digital STB market, as well as reduce the time to market for Motorola's products. Specific details of the acquisition were not disclosed, however upon completion of the acquisition Dahua Digital will be integrated into Motorola's broadband and mobile network division.
