Hynix to Increase China Investment by USD 260 mln

Hynix Semiconductor, the world's second-largest manufacturer of memory chips, announced recently that it plans to invest an additional USD 260 mln into its Chinese joint venture in order to expand production capacity. In a filing submitted to the Korean Financial Supervisory Commission, Hynix said that following its investment, its stake in the JV would increase to 77.44%, but did not say how large a share of the company it currently holds.
