China Mobile Releases Q4 2007 SP Rankings

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) recently released its Q4 2007 wireless value-added service provider (SP) rankings, in which 5 companies won A ratings across four service categories. The 5 recipients of A-ratings included:

SMS services: Tencent (0700.HK) and Kong.net (Nasdaq: KONG)

MMS services: Sina (Nasdaq: SINA)

"Voice Magazine" services: Leiting (TOM's SP) and Sina

WAP services: Tencent and Beijing Creative Sonic Media

China Mobile's ranking of its SPs is based upon the "SP Credit Points" management system that took effect in January 2006; the higher an SP's score, the greater the percentage of cooperation resources and sales resources China Mobile will provide.
