China Mobile Updates Key WVAS User Statistics

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has released user statistics for key wireless value-added service products. As of the end of 2007, the company had 12.81 mln active Fetion (instant messaging) users, 23.55 mln paid mobile newspaper subscribers, and 34.56 mln VIP members for its M.Music wireless music club.
Wireless value-added services accounted for 25.7% of China Mobile's total income in 2007, with ringback tones, WAP and MMS services all continuing to grow.
