In-game Ad Firm Secures USD 10 mln Funding

eNet, 3/25/08

Chinese in-game advertising company Bihu.com (which means "Gecko") recently announced that it had received an investment of USD 10 mln from Sequoia Capital. The company said that its independently developed interactive advertising system, Bihu IGA, can implement in-game advertising placement without requiring changes to programs or game program application packages, whether in the game's Loading/Login/Logout screen or within the game itself in the form of images, models, and game props. The Bihu IGA application has already entered commercial operation, and the company is exploring partnerships with a number of game companies and traditional advertising companies.
