Nokia, NSN Deny Alliance with ZTE, Huawei and CCS

Sohu IT, 4/09/08

Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks denied Tuesday that they are joining a partnership between China Communications Services Corp (CCS) (0552.HK), ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) and Huawei.

CCS said on Tuesday that three wireless equipment providers - ZTE, Huawei and Nokia - were to join forces to sell communications equipment outside of China, with CCS providing maintenance and support. However no details, such as target markets, were revealed.

Nokia Siemens Networks spokesperson Riitta Mard indicated that "we have worked with this firm in the past, but there is no relationship of the type announced today."

A Nokia spokesperson echoed this, saying the firm was not involved in the partnership.
