Antenna Manufacturer Plans Public Listing

Civil antenna manufacturer Shenglu Telecommunication has had its application for an IPO passed by Guangzhou's provincial securities regulator, with the request now with the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) for approval and adjustment. A listing may take place within 2008.

Shenglu produces antennae and both active and passive RF components, with a range of 1,500 products. Its GSM, CDMA and indoor antennae have a 70% share of the domestic market. Customers include major equipment vendors Huawei, ZTE, Alcatel-Lucent, UTStarcom, Wuhan Post and Telecommunications, Fuzhou Post and Telecommunications, and Sunwave Communications (002115.SZ), along with telecom operators in provinces including Guangdong, Jiangsu and Beijing.
