VisionChina Media Q1 Revenue Up 304%

In-vehicle digital advertising operator VisionChina Media (Nasdaq: VISN) has issued its earnings report for Q1 2008, with net revenues reaching USD 13.6 mln, up 304.5% year-on-year and 13.5% quarter-on-quarter.

Net income for the quarter came to USD 5.4 mln, down 5.4% QoQ, but a significant turnaround from a USD 0.36 mln loss in Q1 2007.

Advertising service revenues for the quarter were USD 13.2 mln, up 326.0% period-on-period and 13.2% quarter-on-quarter.

Average advertising revenue per broadcasting hour was USD 493 for the quarter compared to USD 474 in Q4 2007.

Up to March 31, 2008, more than 380 advertisers had purchased advertising time on the company's network either directly or through an advertising agent.

VisionMedia estimates total revenues for Q2 2008 will range from USD 19.2 mln to USD 20.2 mln, of which advertising service revenue is expected to be between USD 19.0-20.0 mln.
