The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has revealed that it is currently putting into effect a strategy of in-house development for MMORPGs, and that its R&D centers will begin large-scale recruitment around the country.
Reportedly, The9 is preparing to increase R&D investment to establish game R&D teams in Beijing, Chengdu, and Nanjing. The company's R&D centers currently have a combined staff of nearly 200 people across five departments, working on a number of MMORPGs including Three Kingdoms Commander. Zhao Yurun, head of public relations for The9, confirmed that the company's R&D centers are recruiting on a large scale.
