AsiaInfo Wins Zhejiang Telecom OCS Contract

Telecom solutions provider AsiaInfo (Nasdaq: ASIA) has announced that it has won a tender to develop an Online Charging System (OCS) for China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) in Zhejiang province. The system will be based on the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standard and conform to China Telecom's OCS specifications. The system will include support for the real-time billing of prepaid and postpaid accounts, and offer a variety of charging methods for future 3G and value-added services. It will also include credit control and risk management analysis functionality.
