Tongfang to Invest in LED and DTV Development

Tsinghua Tongfang (600100.SH) has announced that it will invest RMB 1.4 bln into the LED and DTV system industries. More than 20 regional operators have already signed memoranda of intent with Tongfang under which Tongfang will provide products and services for terrestrial DTV systems construction, receiving equipment (wireless set-top boxes and televisions with integrated receivers), and programming.
