Two Railway Media Firms Merge

Netease Tech, 5/19/08

Guang Yuan Media and Epin Media, China's two largest in-train media organizations, announced recently that they would merge to form a new company, Dingcheng Media, with total control of the Chinese in-train television market, adding that the company would work towards listing on the Nasdaq exchange within the next several years.

Editor's Note: Guang Yuan Media was founded in 1999, and is the only railway media company that owns both a "License for In-vehicle Broadcasting of Radio and TV Programs" and "License for Radio and TV Program Production". Epin Media, founded in 2002, currently covers over 500 cities.
