MII: China Broadband Users Reach 74 Mln

Vice-minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information (MII) Lou Qinjian has said that China now has 220 mln Internet users, of which 74.14 mln are broadband subscribers. 99.5% of administrative villages are now connected to the telephone network, with the basic infrastructure to connect 97% of villages and towns to broadband already laid.
