The9 Q1 Profits Up 36%

Chinese online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has announced its unaudited financial results for Q1 2008, with net revenues reaching RMB 439.4 mln (USD 62.7 mln), up 63% year-on-year and 4% quarter-on-quarter.
Net income for the quarter came to RMB 89.7 mln (USD 12.8 mln) mln, up 36% YoY and 4% QoQ.
In the first quarter of 2008, The9 had aggregate peak concurrent users (PCU) of approximately 1.2 mln for its commercially operated games, and as of March 31, 2008, had over 38.1 mln total registered users.
