Beijing Times, 5/29/08

A Chinese court has found in favor of Beijing-based Ren'ai's Educational Institute in its copyright infringement case against Shenzhen-based Noah Education Holdings Ltd (NYSE: NED), ordering Noah to pay RMB 150,000 in damages. Noah had provided English teaching materials for download from its website to users who have purchased its 'learning machine'. Ren'ai - the original compiler of the materials - had subsequently brought suit against Noah for infringement, seeking damages of RMB 500,000.
