Sohu, CCTV Partner for Olympic Games

Chinese online portal Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) has announced a strategic partnership with CCTV.com, the official Internet and mobile platform of the 2008 Olympics, licensing the rights to broadcast Olympic events online. Sohu is currently the only commercial Internet portal with the rights to broadcast the Olympics online, and will provide live and video-on-demand (VOD) broadcasts of sporting events, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies.

Sohu will have a team of over 700 people working on Olympic reporting.
