MIIT: "Two Key Points" for TD-SCDMA Development

Li Yizhong, the Minister of Industry and Information Technology has stated that his ministry has two key battles to wage in promoting TD-SCDMA. The first is building additional base stations in the Beijing region to ensure voice-quality on the network. The second is ensuring that TD-SCDMA supports trials of mobile phone TV during the Olympic Games.
