Youku Obtains TV Production Permit

Chinese online video site Youku has announced that it has been issued a Broadcast Programming Production and Distribution License by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and Television. In doing so, Youku becomes the first online video site to obtain both this and an Online Audio-Visual Broadcasting License.

Editor's Note: A Broadcast Programming Production and Distribution License allows a company to produce, sell rights to, and trade television and radio programs.
