Rumor: The9 Spurs CB of Audition 2

17173.com, 7/11/08

According to informed sources, Chinese online game operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has spurred on its technical staff, in the hope of bringing forward the closed beta test of its casual dance game Audition 2. Industry insiders are speculating the company wishes to start closed beta testing before the network moratorium for the Olympics comes into effect on July 20. It was earlier believed that Audition 2 was 30% complete and would start closed beta testing at year's end.

Editor's Note: The network moratorium refers to a one month period of time over the Olympics when telecom operators in Olympic cities will not accept new customers, or perform upgrades to their networks, in order to ensure network stability during the Olympic Games.
