Netcom Starts IPTV Interoperability Testing

China Netcom (NYSE: CN; 0906.HK) began testing IPTV set-top box (STB) and system interoperability on July 30. The company is actively seeking the participation of terminal manufacturers, and has invited Coship (002052.SZ), CIMA Tech, 30Kaitian, Hansun, TCL (000100.SZ) and Daxian to participate. Testing will run from August 25 to September 26, and aims to resolve interoperability issues present between IPTV set-top boxes and systems, as well as issues faced by STB and system developers.
