Rumor: Perfect World to Purchase Online Gaming Portal

Informed sources are claiming that Chinese online game developer and operator Perfect World (Nasdaq: PWRD) is about to purchase an online gaming portal, with the two parties already in active negotiations. The source indicated that it would be a full acquisition of the portal, and not just the acquisition of a stake, with the purchase price placed at over USD 10 mln.
Another source close to the deal claims that Perfect World CEO Chi Yufeng recently held a discreet meeting with Liu Liang, the founder and CEO of online gaming portal U9.
