Shanghai TD-SCDMA Users Reach 6,640

Deputy general manager of Shanghai Mobile's general affairs department, Zhou Xu, revealed yesterday that the company had a total of 6,640 TD-SCDMA users as of July 31.
Zhou explained that Shanghai Mobile has 117 company-operated outlets offering TD-SCDMA service, along with more than 200 other sales channels. By June, the company had 2,602 TD-SCDMA base stations in operation, and had expanded the network's coverage to 98% of its GSM counterpart.
