Handset Screen Sizes See Increase in H1 2008

Madhouse, 8/14/08

Figures released by Shanghai-based mobile advertising agency Madhouse indicate that in H1 2008, mobile handsets with large- and medium-sized screens accounted for more than 70% of China's mobile Internet users. Compared to H1 2007, the number of large-screen handset users increased 137%, use of medium-screen mobile handsets decreased slightly, and users of small-screen mobile handsets decreased significantly. Extra-large screen handsets still account for only a relatively small proportion of mobile Internet users.

Screen size plays an important role in determining the appropriate size for mobile advertisements.
