Rumor: Search Firms to Cooperate on Open Platform

Industry insiders have revealed that B2C and C2C e-commerce site Taobao is on the cusp of releasing a new search platform that will offer a new entry point for online shopping. The main development team for the project has come from Yahoo search, while the product will cooperate with Microsoft and Google. Many third party developers in the "TOP INSIDE" program are rumored to be contributing to the search platform, along with Joyo Amazon, Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) and other e-commerce websites.
