Qihoo, QVOD Jointly Release New Media Player

Anti-virus software maker Qihoo and Shenzhen-based QVOD Media jointly introduced a security-enabled version of QVOD's QVODPlayer media player today.

Based on core QVOD media player technologies, the latest version of QVODPlayer incorporates an all-new player engine capable of supporting the company's new self-developed VOD technology, but also a BitTorrent-based client allowing users to watch video programming over BitTorrent with only a few seconds' worth of buffering required in advance. More than 1000 VOD websites have partnered with QVOD, giving the software an installed base of as many as 25 mln computers. More than 80% of domestic video websites use QVOD's system.
