Tudou Loses Copyright Infringement Suit

China Telecom (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) subsidiary 21CN recently sued video sharing platform Tudou for unauthorized broadcasts of the television series "The Bratty Princess", for which 21CN owns the rights. The Shanghai Pudong District People's Court ruled yesterday that Tudou must immediately end online distribution of the television series and compensate 21CN RMB 45,000 for economic losses.
