Huayi Bros Sues Video Sites for Copyright Infringement

China film and TV production company Huayi Brothers has filed copyright infringement complaints against numerous online media companies, requesting financial compensation for the unauthorized use of its content. Companies named in the suit include online search engine and portal Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU), Beijing Heyi Information Technology (the owner and operator of video sharing site Youku), Internet portal Sina (Nasdaq: SINA), P2P video sharing platform UUSee, and video-sharing site Tudou. The case has been accepted by the Beijing Haidian District People's Court.
