Rumor: CM to Complete Round-3 TD-SCDMA Equipment Bidding in March

Industry rumors are circulating that China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has begun preparations for a third round of bidding aimed at rolling-out TD-SCDMA networks in 162 additional cities across China. Bidding will be completed by the end of March.

Editor's Note: Previously it was rumored that China Mobile planned to construct 57,421 base stations in the third phase of TD-SCDMA network construction, with a total investment of RMB 55.8 bln.
