ZTE Launches WiMAX Surveillance Terminal

Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) has announced a new WiMAX-based mobile video surveillance terminal, the Mi100. The device has an integrated WiMAX16e chipset for connection to WiMAX wireless networks, allowing for remote surveillance in high-speed mobile environments of up to 100km/h. ZTE expects the device to be deployed in public areas such as airports, expressways, hospitals, and subways.
