Kaixin001.com Under Fire over Shower Application

Beijing Evening News, 1/19/09

A virtual friend application recently introduced by Chinese social networking service (SNS) Kaixin001.com has aroused anger from female Internet users for allowing users to let their virtual "girlfriend" take a shower after a predetermined period of "being together". An employee at the China Internet Illegal Information Reporting Centre of the Internet Society of China stated that it is too early to determine whether the application should be considered vulgar content.
