Jiangsu Telecom to Launch RMB 1 Per Day Data Package

Industry sources have reported that Jiangsu Telecom will offer CDMA users a special RMB 1 daily rate for mobile Internet access as long as the usage volume for that day is less than 1 GB. Jiangsu Telecom states that the offer is only valid for mobile Internet, not notebook wireless access, but has not yet decided when it will introduce the new rate.
This January, China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) adjusted rates for its GPRS data packages as follows: RMB 5 for 30 MB, RMB 20 for 150 MB, RMB 50 for 500 MB, RMB 100 for 2 GB, RMB 200 for 5 GB.
