Youku to Receive 3G Service License

Wei Ming, vice president of operations for Youku, says that following the State Administration of Radio Film and Television's (SARFT) response to its request to begin mobile video programming services, Youku will be among the first batch of companies to be issued 3G video service licenses in the near future. Wei says Youku is taking 3G services very seriously, and its 3G site, 3g.youku.com, currently receives more than a hundred thousand visits each day. In the future, the company plans to increase its efforts in the mobile services field.
