An industry source says online game developer and operator The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) has stepped up its talks with Electronic Arts to license its game Warhammer Online, and is offering more favorable terms to the developer. A rumor says The9 has already offered EA a higher price than it paid to license FIFA Online 2; another source says that EA has already internally settled on The9 for Warhammer Online.
The9 president Chen Xiaowei and EA president for the Asia-Pacific region Jon Niermann participated in the recent talks.
The above is rumor only, and has not been confirmed by either company.
