NetDragon 2008 Net Profit Down 36%

Chinese online game developer and operator NetDragon (0777.HK) has issued its earnings report for Q4 2008, with consolidated revenues reaching RMB 136.5 mln, down 28.9% year-on-year. 2008 full-year consolidated revenues fell to RMB 596.0 mln, a decrease of 7.6% over the 2007 figure.

Net income for the quarter came to RMB 73.2 mln, up 44% QoQ. Net income for fiscal year 2008 decreased 36% YoY to RMB 239.4 mln.

Peak concurrent users (PCU) for all games for the quarter came to 591,000, down 25% YoY. Average concurrent users (ACU) for all games came to 317,000, down 22%.

Online game revenues for 2008 derived from mainland China were approximately RMB 446.4 mln, down 14.9% YoY. Revenue derived from overseas markets amounted to approximately RMB 149.6 mln, up 24.1% YoY.
