CDC Games Halts Lunia Operation

17173.com, 7/01/09

On the afternoon of July 1, CDC Corporation (Nasdaq: CHINA) subsidiary CDC Games posted a message on the official BBS for its online game Lunia saying that it had shut down all game servers and would halt Mainland China operations of the game, owing to its contract for Mainland operating rights having expired. CDC's contract was reportedly not renewed because of the company's failure to pay by June 5 the USD 600,000 in licensing fees and royalties it owed to Lunia's Korean developer Allm.

Lunia entered public beta on February 27, 2009.
