Yicha Secures USD 30 Mln Funding

China Securities News, 7/23/09

Chinese mobile search engine Yicha revealed on July 21 that it has already secured USD 30 mln in funding and drawn up plans to list publicly next year. Yicha has an estimated value of USD 200 mln. Yicha's current core business is in Japan, since the Chinese 3G market has yet to mature. CEO Liu Bin is increasingly looking to Russia and India, saying that should the domestic market not pick up in the next few years, the company will pursue an internationalization strategy in order to maintain rapid growth.
