Guangzhou Consumer Hotline Reports 3G Customer Complaints

New Express, 8/24/09

The Guangzhou Bureau of Commerce and the Guangzhou Consumer Council recently released a report on consumer complaints for the month of July. The consumer complaint hotline 12315 received a total of 115 complaints about 3G service, marking 3G service as a recent focal point of consumer ire. Complaints generally reported that newly purchased 3G netbooks, handsets, and data cards could not reliably receive network signals, or suffered from poor coverage, or that the user was charged for service despite being unable to use the network.
