M18.com to Invest RMB 100 Mln in Online Marketing

Mecoxlane's Chinese B2C mail-order e-commerce website M18.com has announced it will invest RMB 100 mln in online marketing. The amount of the funds, which will come entirely from M18's sales revenue, is expected to be equivalent to 15% of the website's sales revenue for the next year. M18 general manager Pu Sijie said that the advertisements' target platforms will be selected from portals and vertical websites, and the company may continue to increase the amount of advertising investment for next year based on ad performance.
M18 has never previously engaged in any online marketing. GM Pu said that Mecoxlane will sell between 700-800 mln items of clothing this year.
