Shanda Appoints State Media Veteran to Board

Online game developer and operator Shanda Interactive (Nasdaq: SNDA) has announced the resignation of Bruno Wu from the board of directors, effective September 1, along with the new appointment of Zhao Kai effective immediately. Zhao previously served as dean of Fudan University's Journalism School, CCP committee secretary general for the Wenhui-Xinmin newspaper group, chief editor of Liberation Daily, CCP committee secretary general for the Shanghai Municipal Radio, Film and Television Bureau, as well as numerous other managerial roles in Chinese media outlets.
