Founder Prices E-Reader at RMB 4,800

Fang Zhonghua, senior vice president in charge of IT operations at Beijing-based PC and peripheral manufacturer Founder Group (600601.SH), has revealed that the company will be launching its "WeFound" TD-SCDMA e-book reader in the next one to two weeks, and that the reader plus service package (three years of 3G network access and, for the first 10,000 customers, three years of free book downloads) will retail for approximately RMB 4,800. The WeFound e-reader will be sold directly to customers, and is targeted at high-end consumers.

The product supports China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) TD-SCDMA network, as well as 2G mobile data networks.
