Cnstock, 12/01/09

According to a public filing by Fujian-based Zhong Xin Auctioneers (http://www.zxsale.com), on December 8, the auction house will sell off all trademarks and patents of Fujian-based electronics maker Amoi Electronics Co., Ltd. (formerly 600057.SH), as well as 75% of Amoi Mobile's equity, a portion of Amoi's software assets, management systems, testing equipment manufactured by its handset division, and handset inventory. The reference price for the auction has been listed at RMB 146.78 mln. The value of the Amoi assets being sold has been appraised at more than RMB 800 mln.

Editor's Note: The Sichuan Jiuzhou Electric Group, which became the maintainer of the Amoi Mobile trademark this October, reportedly plans to acquire Amoi's mobile handset business. Neither Amoi nor Jiuzhou issued a response to the rumors.
