Rumor: Sohu and Shanda to Cooperate

An industry source has revealed that Chinese internet portal Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU) chairman Charles Zhang has secretly met with online game developer and operator Shanda (Nasdaq: SNDA) chairman and CEO Chen Tianqiao. Through one-on-one talks, the two sides have decided that Sohu and Shanda will cooperate in various areas including video, gaming operations, and joint promotions.

The news has not yet been verified by the two companies.
