China Mobile to Build 100K 3G Base Stations in 2010

Li Yue, vice president at China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK), has said that in 2010 the company will build 100,000 base stations in order to satisfy TD-SCDMA network coverage in all cities nationwide. Li also revealed that the TD-SCDMA network's call drop rate is approximately 0.53%, and the success rate for 2G/TD-SCDMA network switching is 98.3%.
