Rumor: 2 More TV Operators Approved for Internet TV

Chinese media provider Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and Hangzhou-based DTV and IPTV network operator Wasu Digital Television Media Group have reportedly applied and been approved for Internet TV licenses by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), and will receive their licenses in the near future.

Editor's Note: In an interview with Sohu IT, CEO Li Yiqing of Wasu Digital Media Group said that Wasu already obtained an Internet TV license, which was approved by SARFT last week. Li said that Wasu will receive formal documentation for issuance of the license today.
