A manifesto of TD-SCDMA e-reader hardware requirements from China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) has been leaked, requiring that all e-readers support TD-HSDPA and download speeds of 1.4 Mbps. TD-SCDMA modules must be able to operate for 24 hours continuously and be active on demand. The e-readers must be compatible with 11 different types of SIM cards and 11 kinds of USIM cards. All must come equipped with 4 GB of onboard memory and a 6" high-brightness Vizplex E-ink display. In addition to Windows CE and Linux, some manufacturers will adopt Google's Android mobile OS.
