Google Opens Independently Operated Q&A Site

Tencent Tech, 7/27/10

Google China today launched a new independently operated version of its "Wenda" (Q&A) platform (http://www.google.com.hk/wenda). A large portion of content still comes from Tianya Wenda, the Q&A service previously jointly run by Google and Tianya, to which the site design and structure bear a marked resemblance.

Links to the new service have not yet been added to the front pages at google.com.hk or g.cn, and Google's public links to its Q&A service still point to Tianya Wenda. Existing users of that service can log in with their user names and passwords to migrate their old questions and answers from Tianya's system to Google's.
