Hanvon H1 2010 Profit Up 321% YoY

Chinese e-reader maker Hanvon (002362.SZ) has released its financial results for the first half of 2010, with operating revenues reaching RMB 674 mln, up 283% YoY.

Net income for the period rose 321% YoY to reach RMB 86.87 mln.

Revenu from e-book products rose 513% YoY to reach RMB 558 mln. Revenues from Hanvon's handwriting recognition products (including the TouchPad) reached RMB 45.35 mln, up 45.3% YoY. Revenue from optical character recognition (OCR) products rose 22.2% YoY to RMB 24.79 mln. Revenue from technology patents rose 37.1% YoY to RMB 15.99 mln. Revenue from facial recognition products rose 100% YoY to RMB 13.76 mln. Revenue from industrial applications fell 7.5% YoY to RMB 12.88 mln.
