Huawei PR, 8/25/10
Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei today announced it has implemented its CDMA MSC Pool solution for Indian telecom operator Tata Teleservices. Huawei reports that the solution transformed three existing sets of CDMA mobile soft-switches into one MSC Pool without having to make any modifications to other parts of the network.
According to Huawei, in addition to gains in reliability, the operator-controllable load balancing addresses the problem of unevenly distributed traffic loads in geographical areas, adjusting the ratio of subscriber quantity to traffic volume between the three MSC. This approach can reduce total network capacity demands by up to 20% and significantly reduce capex.
